G’day from the Outback! We sure have had a fun-filled day in this sunny, Texas weather.

Shortly after waking up this morning, campers cleaned their cabins together during a time we call ‘Pit-N-Palace’. After raising the flag as a camp to acknowledge and thank God for the freedom we get to enjoy by His grace, we went in to a time of FOCUS. Each morning, time is set apart for campers and counselors to start their day in the Word. Right after digging into scripture, it’s time to dig into breakfast! This morning we enjoyed some delightful breakfast tacos before heading off to activity classes.

After a full morning in the summer heat and refueling at lunch, cabins head back to the air conditioning for Bible study. Today campers and counselors discussed our purpose in God that he has redeemed and restored.

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.”
Ephesians 1:7

Later in the day we enjoyed our daily Free Time, complete with swinging on the trapeze, spinning on the barn swing, and of course, a good amount of sugar and sweets from the camp store. Kids then decked out in their best western wear in preparation for Hoedown Throwdown.

The Run of the Bulls was the main event of this year’s Hoedown Throwdown. Picture your camper with the license to peg their counselors with zorb balls while everyone is running around a barnyard. There were even a few cow(nselor)s that the kids could wrangle. It was crazy fun with a beautiful sunset in the background. What more could you ask for?

Please pray with us.

  1. Pray that campers would make their time here in the Word a habit when they return home.
  2. Pray that all the fun activities we do would build fellowship between campers and counselors, allowing walls to break down.
  3. Pray that at the end of the day all the glory would be turned back to God, since without Him, nothing going on this week would be possible.
