It’s week six here at the Shores, which marks the start of the second half of the summer. The first half staff have all packed up for their family vacations, or internships, or online classes, and a fresh crop of counselors have arrived.

What does this mean for the Shores? It means there’s a fresh, exciting, new energy around camp! Everyone here, campers and counselors alike, are so excited and ready to dive into camp and get going.

This past weekend, the two halves overlapped and there was an awesome time of catching up, swapping stories, and imparting wisdom to the second half staff. It was a wonderful 24 hours, during which we got to reminisce about what God has done since May, and look forward with a joyful expectancy at what great things are yet to come.

We are ecstatic about all that God has in store and patiently await the Holy Spirit to work through us. Join us in praying: that camp will be just as fun and successful as always, campers will be safe, and God will be more tangibly present than ever this second half.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
