G’day! Campers are here, and that is a reason for celebration. We are so pumped to witness Christ working in the life of your camper this week!

Monday morning, we gathered outside for flag before going into a time of FOCUS. We firmly believe in getting into God’s Word at the beginning of each day. This time also helps set the tone for opportunities to experience the Lord and have life transforming conversations. For breakfast, campers dined over hot pancakes in order to start their first day of activity classes well nourished!

The rest of the day was filled with all kinds of fun, including Tomacrossery, shredding the gnar at the Wake Park, going off ziplines and so much more. Cabin Bible studies took place in the middle of the day and campers were introduced to the theme of this week: Purpose. The last thing before dinner was FREE TIME! Campers ate lots of sugar and had a blast hanging out with their new cabin mates and counselors.

After a delicious dinner of spaghetti, the evening festivities began. Monday’s theme night was called the Crayotic Color Craze. Kids were decked out in more colors than even the rainbow can hold while running around trying to find Crayon tops and bring them back to their own side (basically the most colorful game of capture the flag ever played). Of course they had to be mindful of the Crayon Makers and the Crayotic Color Crackens who were swinging around giant pool noodles that had the power to send campers to jail.

The first full day of camp sure has been an exciting one, and we are stoked to see what the rest of the week holds!

Please pray with us.

  1. Pray for deep relationships to be built quickly between campers and counselors.
  2. Pray for campers to experience Jesus and see the life and joy that is only found in the Lord.
  3. Pray over the Bible study this week, that campers would understand that God has created them for a purpose. Jesus is our purpose, and we don’t have to search the world looking for a different one!
