After the “Night at the Museum”, campers headed inside to the ROCK for CLUB!! The most exciting time of the evening! Last night’s CLUB Talk was given by Baxter “Stunk” Robb, a Towers Sr. Counselor. He spoke on fear and how Peter interacted with Jesus. After Peter denied Christ, he fled for he was fearful of what might happen to him. This fearfulness plagues many of us today. Later in Acts, Peter has an encounter with the Holy Spirit which empowers him! Before, Peter was fearful but because of the Holy Spirit coming, Peter is strengthened by it. He continues to preach the Gospel message to the masses, even while being in danger of losing his life. Paul even writes on this topic in 2 Timothy 1:7. So because God gives us his power through the Holy Spirit, we no longer have to be afraid of what man can do to us!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Today we continued the exciting rounds of Activity Classes! These rotations allowed for campers to experience everything that the Towers has to offer, from riding horses, to the Sea of Narnia battle mat, to zipping down the Gauntlet biplane, to racing around camp on scooters! All of this fun started at The Lamppost where we memorize our daily bible verse, and chant a few cheers before campers head out to their activities! As we continue about our busy day, pray for your camper and the work God will do in their hearts!
