Good Afternoon Parents!

Today is Thursday here at the Towers! Your campers have been enjoying amazing activity classes and theme nights, while learning about how Jesus has changed our lives due to his sacrifice on the cross! Throughout this week campers have been digging into different passages that we find in Scripture that show us how lives were changed by the interactions they had with Jesus.

Last night’s CLUB Talk was brought by Jared “K-Fore” Hunsucker, and he discussed the interaction between Jesus and the woman at the well in John 4. This is a beautiful picture of how Christ seeks out the lost and desires to have a personal relationship with them. In the culture of Jesus’ time the Jews would typically travel around Samaria to avoid cultural conflicts, but instead Jesus traveled directly through Samaria breaking the social norms. In doing so, Christ demonstrated the intentionality He desires to have with every single one of us. Also the fact that Jesus, a Jew, broke a big cultural norm by talking to a Samaritan, is astounding to think that He really does desire to seek out those who don’t know Him, no matter who they are. At the end of this encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman, she runs back to tell others that the Messiah is here!

Tonight, campers will have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel message during CLUB. This is an exciting time as we pray that lives would be transformed forever by the news of God’s gift to us. Throughout the day, while campers are playing and enjoying all of the camp activities here at The Towers, staffers are praying for your campers to find the joy that comes from placing faith in our Savior!

Please join us in praying for your camper, and the many others that will hear the message of God’s love tonight!
