How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.
Psalm 133:1 NIV
There are many gifts that God has given us in this world; there are noticeable essences of his grace seen in many things. One of these things is fellowship, the gathering of like minded people for the glory of God. In fellowship we are not alone. It allows us to have community in Christ as we are made to reflect his image.
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 19:20 NIV
Tonight your campers split up amongst boys and girls for “Medieval Mates and Maidens.” They transformed camp into a medieval land filled with the manly mates castle wars and adorning yourself in your best linens for a Sheila fashion show. After enjoying a club session, fire side for the mates and by the Lake Shalom dock for the maidens, campers were given the opportunity to pass their sins away to the Lord who has gone before them to be the ultimate sacrifice. This was a chance to surrender and many campers took that opportunity!
This week your campers are getting to experience what true Christian community looks and feels like. They are being held accountable and given many opportunities to seek and grow in Christ.
Please Pray with Us:
1. Continue to pray with us that your campers are taking hold of these opportunities and that God almighty is convicting them of a heart change!
2. That campers respond well to the club talks and that their sin be brought into the light and they realize the destructive nature of sin.
3. That our campers continue to memorize scripture so that it may take root in their life.
