A fun spot in the middle of camp is the Big Barn, which is also known as the Sport Court. Campers have activity classes there where they play dodge ball, zorb ball, and other fun games! Court Sports is a great place for campers to be active while in the shade.
Campers learn some cool lessons at court sports. The first thing they learn about is being of good character, and playing with integrity! They are reminded of the importance of honesty and respecting each other as teammates and opponents, and how God desires for each of us to be good examples in everything we do.
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. Proverbs 2:6-8
The second thing that campers learn is about our weakness as humans, and the faithfulness of God. They are reminded that even young people like themselves become weary, but God is always there to strengthen them when they call out to Him. It’s so cool to see campers learning and growing during their week at camp and we are so grateful to be able to walk alongside them as they grow in their walk with the Lord.
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:30-31
