We bid thee a good welcome here from the Outback! On Tuesdays our theme night takes us back to the 13th century, to the medieval times. Your knights and maidens will be separated to enjoy their own games and feasts for the evening. The boys will be spending their evening defeating the king of the castle while trying to avoid water balloons flying their way from a water catapult. The fair maidens of the town will be walking around in their nice linen dresses, painting nails, braiding hair, and of course dancing to the tunes of the time.
Tonight at Club, our focus is to seek severance from our sin and to put to death our earthly desires.
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immortality, impurity, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
The guys will be given the opportunity to nail their sins to a cross representing the sacrifice that Jesus paid for us after a talk with our program director, Squirrels. The maidens will get to hear from our Guest Services Coordinator, Squeal Chair, speak about bringing their sins into the light.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.
They will end their night with a special reflection time in which they will get to confess their sins and write them on a paper lantern. We will then gather around and sing as we send the lanterns off into the night.
Please pray with us.
- Pray that campers will recognize their sin and be willing to submit it to the Lord.
- Pray for strengthened relationships in cabins through this time.
- Pray for hearts to be softened and open to the gospel.
