As the lights go down on our Reception of Champions honoring the winners of tonight’s games, campers are entering a unique time in which they will have the opportunity to reflect on all this week has been.

Today our Bible study was about seeking selflessness, and we asked the campers about their names. We asked whether or not they thought names were important, why, and if they knew the meaning of their own. We talked about how the Bible does not call us to make a name for ourselves but to be imitators of Christ.

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Colossians 3:17, today’s memory verse, says to do everything we say and do in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God, so our prayer for tonight’s reflection time is that campers would know that we are washed, sanctified, and justified by no other name than the name of Jesus. We pray that everything they’ve heard this week in Bible studies and Club talks would be used by the Lord tonight and that they would come to know Him.

Please pray with us.

  1. Pray that hearts would be softened to the gospel.
  2. Pray that campers would be willing to surrender the names they’ve made for themselves.
  3. Pray for boldness as the campers have the opportunity to proclaim what the Lord has done this week.
