We’ve had a wonderful Wednesday here at the Timbers! Today has been full of sunshine, joy, and Jesus. Your campers’ counselors have been digging deep and getting to know them more and more. We continue to pray that we are loving them unconditionally with the love that God provides us! As they learn more about your camper, we thought it would be fun for you to get to know some fun facts about them. I hope you get to learn a little bit more about them and maybe get a laugh out of it!

Here are some fun facts about a few of our counselors:

Dragon Wall-E: He plays disc golf competitively! Disc golf is actually one of our activity classes here at Pine Cove!

All Flows Lead to Rome: He has been to Ireland twice in his life: once when he was 14 and once last summer. He went to a town in Ireland called Slea Head which is where he would live if he could live anywhere in the world.

Taco Bell: She went to commission camping with Pine Cove over Christmas break to Peru in 2015.

I Believe That We Will Swim: He has been playing the harmonica since he was 18 (6 years).

Rooney Tunes: When he was 6, he broke his arm falling off a stool while brushing his teeth too fast because he wanted to hurry to his friend’s house to ride his slip-n-slide. He loves his mini wiener dog, Zoe. Also, he plans to live in London at some point in his life!

Cooler Than the Other Side of the Pillow: When he was 13, he played baseball in Reggio Emilia, Italy to win the Junior Olympic gold metal.

Van Doe: He is currently passionate about painting and comic books. He also plans on living in Japan when he’s older.

Greatest of All Time: He went to Thailand in 2014 for a mission trip for his home church in Abilene.

Swolly Guacamole: He had major reconstructive hip surgery, called Ganz surgery, when he was 17 years old. He had this surgery because he had hip dysplasia. He currently has many screws in his hip.

Which Whip: When she was 18, she zip-lined through the rainforest in Costa Rica.

It was really cool getting to interview our counselors and find out some stories about their lives. I’m happy that I get to share it with you all at home!

Until next time,
