The first full day of camp is always exciting here at the Outback! Your campers have had many firsts today such as activity classes, Bible studies, and much needed F.O.B (Flat On Back aka nap) time. We also had a bit of rainy day play. Rain can’t stop us!!

In Bible Study we went over Colossians 3:1-4.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

We asked the question, “Where do you belong?” and discussed what belonging to God means to us and what it means to be raised with Christ, hidden with Christ, and appearing with Christ. It was awesome being able to talk about how seeking God from a seated position in Christ means that we are able to understand to even greater depths what God did for us when He brought us from death to life in Jesus!

They also had an incredible theme night of “Surreal Cereal Showdown,” where they dressed up as their favorite cereal characters and had to face off against disgruntled H-E-B customers. The campers fought to put their teams’ cereal pieces into the main cereal bowl and to steal the Silver Spoons from the other teams for extra points! With wacky, wavy pool noodles flying around everywhere and getting sent to “The Pantry” if you got out, this was definitely a favorite theme night of many campers!

Please Pray with Us:

  1. Pray the truth of the Gospel Reaches the hearts of our campers so that their lives can be transformed.
  2. Safety is a top concern for our campers and staff. Ask that God will grace this week with his presence and protection.
  3. Pray any walls be broken down so that campers can focus and make great friendships and memories while at camp!
