In Monday’s bible study, the campers dove into the book of Luke to learn about John the baptist. In this story, John makes his way to Israel to prepare the people for the coming of Jesus. John tells the Israelites to do two things, repent for the sins they have committed and to bear fruit through good works.

Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all people will see God’s salvation.

Luke 3:5-6

Near the end, the campers were asked to think about sins they might struggle with and were encouraged to ask the Lord for repentance.
