Hello! I’m TJ “Philly” Connor, and I am the Timbers camp director. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and have lived in Texas for the past six years. I have been married to my spectacular wife Chelsea for almost 5 years and we have two beautiful kids, one that we welcomed just before camp began. I love sports, both playing and watching them, and I especially love fireworks. This will be my sixth summer here at the Timbers and I am excited for another opportunity to serve eighth and ninth graders.
This years Bible study is called “IN CHRIST,” and we will be studying the book of Colossians! Christ is truth, and in Colossians we will expound on the truth of the gospel: that apart from Christ we are lost, but in Christ we are made alive, made new, and made complete. We will look at what it means to be “in Christ.”
I am humbled and honored to minister to your camper this week. My prayer is that they not only have a lot of fun, but most importantly, I pray that they draw closer to the Lord, and that they leave the Timbers with a deeper knowledge and understanding of the gospel and a true desire to walk with Jesus every day!
