Hello parents! My name is Andrew “Get Smart” Boshell. This is my sixth summer to serve as the Towers Camp Director. My wife, Ashley, and I have been married for eight years. We have two incredible daughters, Liv (four years old) and Maggie (two years old), and are expecting our third daughter near the end of August. I graduated from the University of Alabama where I studied civil engineering. I started working at Pine Cove in 2009 while I was in college and came on full time staff not long after. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the Towers camp again this summer as we look to have a safe, fun, and Jesus-filled week!
I’m really excited to announce that our theme for the summer is “I Am.” Our theme will focus on two separate, but related, topics. Every day, your camper will engage in a Bible Study with their cabin in which they will look at five of the “I Am” statements made by Jesus in the book of John. Through these passages, we will learn about the character of God. In the evenings, your campers will hear Club Talks on the identity that we have as followers of Jesus Christ. We will look at different passages each night and talk about how our identity should be grounded in God alone.
Each day, your camper will be in Bible study with his/her cabin at 4pm. I want to encourage you to set an alarm for this time each day this week and stop to quickly pray for your child. Ask the Lord to guide them to truth and for them to trust in where He leads. We have seen the Lord do great things in the lives of young campers and are expecting the same this summer!
Our Towers team is pumped for this week at camp. It is going to be an absolute blast! Please pray with us for the Lord to show up and do BIG things. Have an awesome week, and we will see you back at Closing Celebration on Saturday! Thanks for trusting us with your kids!
