Today was our first full day of camp at the Towers! Campers woke up this morning at 7:30am and began preparing for the day by getting dressed and cleaning the cabin for our Pit ’n Palace challenge! Then, we gathered together to raise our nation’s flag.

At 8:20, we had breakfast, and then campers headed out for their very first round of activity classes. Activity classes at the Towers include the pool, gaga ball, horses, Sea of Narnia, ropes, and archery! In step with being Christ-Centered, Others-Focused, and Seriously-Fun, campers are shown ways to apply the Gospel throughout every action.

The day’s activity classes were followed by cabin bible study. Monday’s lesson focused on the story of Noah and the Ark. We talked about Noah on the first day because of the great faith he displayed while trusting and following God’s plan. We defined faith as “a confident trust in the eternal God”. The bible verse we taught to affirm the lesson was Hebrews 11:1 – “Faith is the confidence in what we hope for.”

Tonight’s theme night was none other than Pitch Black Attack! During PBA, the evil posse tries to take over the Towers. Campers, with the help of their counselors, travel around camp from checkpoint to checkpoint, striving to not get caught. If you DO get caught, the goal is to act out the most convincing story to try and get away!

We feel so blessed to have spent our first full day here at camp with your campers, more updates to come throughout the week!
