In today’s Bible study, the bad news of sin campers learned about yesterday was followed by the Good News of the Gospel! God’s holiness and glory set Him apart from everyone and everything else. Because God is perfect, our sin keeps us from enjoying His presence and there is absolutely nothing we can do to change this separation. However, God loved us so much that He decided to offer us salvation so that we could be with Him again.
This is where Jesus enters the picture. He came as the perfect sacrifice to die as the payment for everyone’s sins so that our relationship with God can be restored. We learn from Romans 10 the way to accept Jesus’ sacrifice is to confess you are a sinner and believe Jesus died for you and was raised to life again. The Good News is that we have a God who pursued us in our brokenness and loved us enough to provide us with a way to return to Him.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
