Good afternoon parents! The Ridge has started off their morning great by already getting into the word with their first bible study of the week. This week campers and counselors will be diving into our identity and how we are DEFINED by Christ. As they walk through Romans 1:18-32 today, we wanted to share with you the same word that defines us and moves us to do all things for the Lord and His glory.
“For although they knew God, they did not honor him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
God does not hide his identity from us. God calls us to live in the light, not in the darkness. Because of the sin and darkness in the world and in our own lives, there is nothing good in us. All the good in this world and in us comes from our savior Jesus Christ. Knowing the darkness in our lives and the world, how can we live in His light? One way we can live for the Lord and honor him is through walking confessionally. The Lord wants us to confess and recognize the darkness in our lives and in the world and find Him as our sole refuge and savior.
After walking through the word and in His light we are heading over to lunch! This is such a great time to gather together in fellowship as a cabin and recount the day’s events and even watch a crazy skit put on by staff!
Have a blessed day!
