We are having a great time here at the Outback with your campers! It’s hard to believe that it is already Thursday – time flies when you’re having fun! Our counselors have been teaching from the book of Colossians this week, and today’s bible study verse was:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with one another.
Colossians 3:16

Your campers learned that whatever we say and do, in word or deed, we do it all for the glory of God, each and every day! Throughout chapter 3 in the book of Colossians, Paul gives us concepts to live by for holy living. He writes about how necessary it is for us to continually plant the empowering and affirming message of Christ in our hearts and allow the message to work according to God’s purposes! By praying for His will to be done daily, we can better understand Him and grow holier as He consumes our hearts.

As a staff, we try to share the greatness of God with your children by pouring into their lives and teaching the gospel, but we can all affirm that your children teach us so much as well! Their joy, happiness, trials, and knowledge impacts us all as we share stories throughout the week. Some of the sweetest moments are when we are singing songs of praise together during Club! However, another one of our favorite ways to worship the Lord is through dance! The Bible states:

Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
Psalm 149:3

We definitely live this out during Club each night, but also during tonight’s theme night, “Caution: Watch Your Dubstep”, where we all wear bright colored (safety first!) clothes and some caution gear while we play some of our favorite upbeat songs and dance the night away!

Pray with us:

  1. Pray for our counselors as they have their last few Bible studies, that the Lord would teach your campers incredible things over these next few days.
  2. Pray that God softens campers hearts to the gospel tonight.
  3. Pray for our campers as they reflect on the lessons that the Lord is teaching them!
