G’day from Pine Cove Outback! Day two of camp has been more than good! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and campers are hearing the Gospel through fun activities, intentional conversations, and Bible studies.

Today, we participated in our daily counselor-lead Bible study in each individual cabin. Throughout the week we will be focusing on the theme Purpose: why were we created and for what? We are all seeking to find our purpose, but we tend to look in all the wrong places. This week we will be digging into scripture to find the Biblical truths of why God created each and every one of us.

Tuesday’s memory verse is:

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Romans 1:21

We often trade the glory of our immortal God for mortal people or things, such as our social media, video games, or relationships, idolizing and worshiping them. This afternoon as cabins, we discussed what we spend most of our day thinking about and how that reflects what’s most valuable to us. We got to talk about places in our life where God’s glory becomes less of a priority because of the other things we value in the world. Something to rest in today is that God does not lose value. One day everything on the earth will turn to dust, but our Heavenly Father will reign forever!

Please pray with us.

  1. Pray campers would hear and believe their identity is in Christ alone.
  2. Pray campers would be open to hearing the gospel and see the life and joy only found in the Lord.
  3. Pray for counselors and staffers, for everything we do to be done in Him.
