What makes a good day a great day? Whatever it may be, we had it today at the Outback. We started the morning with flag, breakfast and a touch of rain, and then we went out to activity classes where campers really impressed us staff. We had several Records of the Day including “Best Rainy Day Zumba Sesh” at the barn swing and the “Tsunami” Award given to a camper who made a splash so big, he got the lifeguards wet when he jumped from the high dive!
After lunch we had some Good Ole Bible Study back at the cabins where we talked about seeking scripture and songs of praise.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
We discussed what it means for someone or something to dwell somewhere and how being in the Word allows us to build one another up and drives us to praise God. We talked about worship and how sometimes we try to make it about ourselves, singing songs because they make us feel good. The campers learned worship is about giving glory and honor to God and then got to practice this as a cabin as they sang a song of praise together.
We ended the night with a camper favorite, Operation Infiltration. The campers successfully won back camp after it was taken over by brainwashed counselors! Now it’s time to hit the showers and get some much needed rest!
Please pray with us.
- Pray for continued safety as we wrap up the week.
- Pray God would continue to draw hearts to Himself.
- Pray that campers would have energy to focus and end the week well.
