In Today’s study, we get to see a man named Saul who aggressively and violently opposed the spread of the Gospel. After God transformed his heart, Saul became Paul and with even greater zeal, passionately advocated for the spread of the very same Gospel he once fought to suppress. Paul even ended up writing the majority of the books in the New Testament! Through the story of Paul, we see that God’s grace can’t be stopped. Additionally, we see that no matter what we do, no one is outside the reach of Jesus’ mercy.
The mercy of God, given to us in abundance through the gift of grace in Christ, is underserved and hard to comprehend. We are so quick to respond harshly to others and ourselves, whereas God is always at the ready to show abundant mercy.
