As we wrap up Week 2 here at Silverado, we want to ask a few things of y’all. This week is about so much more than the fun, crazy, and fast-paced parts of camp. They certainly make camp memorable and AWESOME, but we also want to remember how much we learned about our Heavenly Father! We want to keep you guys, as the families at home, as informed throughout the week as possible as to what your kiddos are involved in.
They are so excited and thrilled to share everything that went on and tell you some really silly stories, but we would love to share with you the incredible ways the Lord has impacted and filled our lives too! Ask them about Elijah and his story. Ask them if they memorized any of their memory verses. Ask them about their halftime with their counselors and if they learned anything new about themselves. Let them sing some club songs for you. Ask them to pray before the meals at home.
It’s easy to feel completely surrounded by God when you’re away from what’s normal. It’s easy to be in the Word when there are no other distractions. We don’t want the hype for our King to die when y’all exit the gates of camp! Our greatest desire is to continue to seek Him everyday, in absolutely everything we do.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk with Him.” Ephesians 2:10
May the Lord’s light and presence be with you all the days of your life! Thanks for a truly blessed week.
